Monica's talk was very well received by all. Through her inspired use of metaphors, photos and anecdotes, she captured the maintained the attention of her listeners. Her talk encouraged them to reflect on the importance of looking after their general well-being and recognizing the long term impact they can and do have on their students. Her use of humour and practicality in her presentation was both entertaining and informative and she challenged her audience to put simple changes in place to help them to manage and enhance their work/home balance. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and I would highly recommend this talk for any busy person who juggles a busy home/work life Ann Cameron, Principal,St.Dominic’s College, Cabra, Dublin. 2019

TEACHER WELL-BEING PRESENTATION:

Over the past 25 years, Monica has watched teachers’ responsibilities grow.  Many say they are now expected to solve issues that occur outside of school hours, and as a result,  along with many of their students, can find themselves suffering from extreme anxiety and early burn-out. When they arrive at the school gates, teachers are expected to leave their own worries, home struggles and general life behind them, deal with everybody else’s challenges for the day, then pick up their own again going home.   Many teachers say they take the best of themselves into the school for the day and bring the dregs home to their own spouses and children -and they want this to change.
